I currently shoot F-Open and have plans to start shooting LR benchrest soon.
In F-class you see a bunch of 1.25” straight barrels, a few other contours show up but the vast majority appear straight 1.25”.
In LR benchrest, it appears no one is shooting a 1.25” straight contour barrel.
The sports are different and strings of fire are different. I get that. In the end, the goal is the same, “keep ‘em in the X-ring”.
As I prepare for the 2019 season, can those of you who understand both games explain why the majority of shooters in these two sports use completely different barrels for shooting at a grand?
Thanks
