Barrel Cleaning…one more time

I need to take this to heart!
Lately I’ve been getting them squeaky clean then doing the three dot deal of Loc-ease down the barrel to get it fowled again. Makes you scratch your head a little.

This is the first I’ve heard of using Loc-ease to fowl a barrel. Hmmm

No Sir, I was the one that spelled it wrong to start with, Lol
On the lock-Ease on the patch deal, later articles recommends only to use three small dots of it on a patch to not over lubricate the barrel.

I thought you were cramming chickens down your bore...

Take a look at Greg Tannel's break in kit (https://www.gretanrifles.com/product-page/barrel-break-in-kit). His solution has a lot more graphite than lock-eez.

I think the main risk is from liquid in the barrel - allow it to flash off/evaporate before firing a bullet. The graphite alone isn't a lot different than what a shot leaves in the bore. Just my opinion though.
