I totally agree whith what you just said good I idea I could not said any better.Whatever regime you decide on my biggest piece of advice should you chose to keep the factory barrel is to bring with you to the range a small booklet and a pen..
You will notice that the factory barrel will most likely not start shooting well untill it has quite a number of rounds through it , this is all fine and dandy but you need to record at what point this is and when it starts to deteriorate...
For example, if the gun settles down at 15 rnds but accuracy starts falling at 30 you now know the window of your best accuracy.
One of the downfalls of having a factory barrel that fouls hard and fast , no amount of proper break in will help a bore that catches copper due to poor interior quality.. Not to say it won't shoot outstanding at some point but you just need to know the window of when that is.
