Barrel bore diameters??

Whats the difference in bore diameters? Like a .236 6mm barrel or a .237 6mm barrel etc etc..

how does that factor?
Why choose one over the other?
Pros/cons?

WHATS IT MATTER?

Ive never understood it..

I too will be interested for some knowledgeable answers to that.
I do have one OPINION I think has some merit in physics. That being the larger bore will allow a higher pressure potential (more powder) if the nanosecond(s) the bullet enters the rifling is reduced because of less friction from the squeeze (obturation) therefore less duration of the initial high pressure. Similar principle to Roy Weatherby's loonnnnnng throats ?? Anyone?

Nothing more than opinion, but I think the tighter bore diameter means .0005 deeper rifling grooves which might extend the useful life of the barrel as well as helping it to be less sensitive to fouling. Tradeoff is it might also show more pressure sign at the top end of your loading.

The belief has been the .237 for the lighter weight, short flat base bullets, and the .236 for heavier, longer bullets.

I got another answer thats backwards for yours. .237 would be for the 107gr bullets that have longer baring surface, more bullet in the bore, thus less drag for longer bullets...

Honestly - I have had both .236 and .237 and could not see any difference in either one. I asked several knowledgeable shooter the same question and got several different answers. I really don't think it matters.
