Barnes Bullets not for sale in California

That’s good then but when I checked on sending some I was told you could not to certain cities and towns or to prohibited persons. And that the statue considered bullets in this case the same as loaded ammunition and needed to be sent to a ffl facility. but I’m not a lawyer and and get confused reading all the sections, subsections. and paragraphs

AFAIK, reloading components are unregulated. Ammo has all the restrictions, pistol ammo even more.

Heres a good synopsis

Some here may think my responses are a little curt, maybe even condescending, there may be some truth in that. Picture if you will, us Californians that love to shoot, love to shoot competitively, reload, hunt, and buy guns just because the moment struck. Most of us are anchored here for one reason or another. If I was a single guy with no family here, I would be gone years ago. We deal with these crappy laws and restrictions that have one purpose; wear us out, create an environment that depletes your desire to own a firearm. They have learned they don't have to make sweeping laws restricting gun ownership. They make little laws that create an impossible environment to function in. Little bits and pieces of legislation that when the puzzle is complete, poof, no more gun owners.

When they legislate magazine disconnects, S&W and Ruger and others just stop selling auto loading guns in CA. Micro-stamping, same thing. Ammo restrictions, magazine capacity, led free bullets, shipping to CA, etc, the list goes on. So the people that make it happen, the ones that enable these legislatures to press forward are the above mentioned companies. The should stand fast and say " we don't care, we will just produce and ship the XYZ's to CA. and thats that" But they don't, they wimp out, it's too difficult to sell in CA. So they abandon us. We as firearm owners should hold their feet to the fire, let them know they are not welcome anywhere unless they provide for all.

We don't, everyone just makes comments, has great advice on what we should be doing here in CA, as if we are not fighting the fight every day. Peculiar thing about California, just about everything from
movies, music, the passion for the automobile, emission controls, and many outdoor activities to mention a few, start here and move east. If you don't think other anti gunners have not taken notice on the methods being used in CA, you're only fooling yourself. Someday there wont be a gun friendly "move to state".

So this is why I sometimes appear less than warm and fuzzy.

Except the
sarcasm, that just the twisted way I am. Thats part of the rr2030 package, free of charge.

Yup. How much burden is there for a stupid sticker on their box that satisfies the stupid lead warning law.

Thanks for nothing to Barnes for stoking this mess. You screwed over the CA gun owners, not the CA establishment. We call that fratricide.

Same goes for the rest of you that think it is funny and don't care. The ones who arbitrarily say "No Sales to CA" for no reason at all, are also helping the wrong side. Stop selling to CA Government as a protest, fine. But starving us out for the cost of a sticker or to put the fine print on your label, is treachery and greed. That fine print costs nothing to implement compared to the profits they reaped when they helped the enemy slide these laws in.

Don't help us fight this communist cancer here, and see if it doesn't metastasize to where you live. When they needed help in Virginia, I sent a check, I didn't make remarks about them needing to move.

The entire lead ban was an emotional knee-jerk reaction not too different from the straw ban based on a single video of a turtle with a straw stuck up its nose..
Yep 1 dead Condor, ate some led, just knew it was from a bullet left in some dead critters carcass. Ended up being some type of led insulation from power lines or something. But another opportunity to stick it to gun owners.

As far as the Sea Turtle; I can only wish to live in a world with enough love in it that every, not just some of the Sea Turtles, have their own straw in their nostril.

Currently, the only restrictions on shipping components into California are the same as any other state: Hazmat for powder and primers. As far as I am aware, there are no other restrictions for shipping components (i.e. cities or counties restricting bullets or cases going to the end user's residence.)

There are, however, a few out of state companies around that insist on going above and beyond the restrictions - Bud's, for instance, would only ship bullets to a registered FFL despite there being no restrictions on them. IMO these entities are accelerating the end goal of the anti-gun movement.

In any case, whoever told you (Pheasanthunter) that you could not ship bullets to an individual in California, well, they were wrong.

Well thanks I had before but never thought about any regulations on it

I understand your feeling but I would support any gun related company the turns their back on states who as a whole are anti Second Ammendment. Perhaps you should find a more democracy friendly state to reside in.
We all do what we do - such as donating money to the NRA and fighting anti legislation to see to it that none of us has to move or any other such BS in order to enjoy our 2nd amendment right. I find it hard to believe that some of the people making comments on this thread are even in the same camp. Time for a few of you to wake up and realize this is a concerted, nationwide effort to eliminate guns and ammo. It is not led by crazy people - it is led by people who don't shoot and could care less about our gun problems. And why should they? If you think, as perhaps Barnes Bullets is doing by not selling a product in California - that the problem remains in California- you really need to look at the big picture.
