What inletting is required with the Bernard Action?

Your question could be more specific. Check out the Barnard Precision website for drawings of their actions. They might give you an idea. Basically, the inletting would be similar to that for a Remington except maybe for the recoil lug.

Well, when you order a stock, just tell them what model Bernard action you have? I know it's different than a standard remmy/savage action. I am thinking about ordering a Bernard, just want to know the correct way to order a stock!

Dennis,
My suggestion would be to ask the supplier of Barnard actions in the USA (MT Guns ??). Next I would ask the manufacturer of the stock you have chosen. You might even email Barnard if the above sources leave anything to be desired. These would be the most reliable sources of information to my mind.

On another subject, Barnard actions come threaded for scope mounting but be aware that the threads are metric. You might have to dig to find some screws for your application.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, I will do so.

I know many are using Bernard's, so it shouldn't be too difficult to accuire a stock.

Or you can also use an Eliseo B1 tube stock and Warner Tool uses there own lug design which works very well (have on a Master Class stock).

Extremly well built and slick action. I am really quite fond of mine. For me the only down side (a small one) is the trigger cannot be set down to equal a Jewell as far as trigger pull. Other than that; great action with an exceptional trigger.

Just a heads up. Barnard makes different sized actions. The most common one is the bigger P action, but the S model action is supposed to be a Remington footprint. Might make it easy to get a stock to suit.
