Bargara Rifle Bolts are just Bad

jelenko yes that slot does not seam to work on the newer bolts. Ever one that I have worked on has a slightly different firing pin. Inserting an Allen wrench in there does not any longer bolt the fining pin hammier back.

I purchased a B14 hmr 308 one month ago.
The bolt does use the allen wrench for firing pin removal. it works,
also bolt face has a firing pin bushing.

That bushing would have to be an after market modification.

That is from a production stand point a very inefficient way of doing it. Better to just make the bolt with a smaller hole from the beginning rather than make one with a larger hole than down size it. Bolt bushing is delicate work. You have to do everything exactly right.

Too bad. I own about 6 of their barrel blanks and they have all been fantastic. Do not own one of their rifles though. Not like Remington is perfect they are garbage as they come from factory bolt handles fall off, lugs not brazed well or in right location, saw cut for receiver face etc....Remington 700 was not GM LS engine more like SMall Block Chevy fromt he 1980's! LOL So let's just hope Bergera improves! They are fairly new kids on the block!
