Ballistol?

Ballistol has never made me choke up, but it certainly is, uh, pungent.
Now that I've gotten onto it for cleaning muzzleloaders, I actually am starting to like the smell.
Funny story, I just recently introduced my 8 year old son to the smells of G96 and Hoppes#9. He was captivated!

Absolutely correct. Ballistol and hot soapy water. Just don’t put them in the dishwasher. Makes the wife go bat $hit crazy.

If your not cleaning your blackpowder up with Simple Green you need educated friend. So fast and easy, it seems unreal. When finshed oil the barrel, motor oil works fine.

I use it….. don’t like the smell, but no cough…..
I don’t use hoppes9, but I might get some just to sniff it.

Ballistol is safe, even if it makes you cough. Remember that Führer used to drink Ballistol.

I only use real black powder. Try it.
