Bald Eagle Spider bolt pattern?

i just ordered the Bald Eagle spider from Grizzly. Does anyone know what the diameter of the 4 bolt pattern is, and the hole size? I have a back plate set up in the mill, ready to drill, but can’t find dimensions. I know I should just wait until it arrives, but Corona boredom is taking it’s toll on me.

Wait until it comes. Put the back plate on your lathe and turn the diameter of the aluminum spider into the back plate square and true to the spindle bore. Use center punches to locate holes. Very simple and easy to do. That is how I have done it twice now.

You just read my post on this from the Practical Machinist forum. Use transfer punches, not center punches.

Just did this a few months ago.
Swiped a backplate from an old 3-jaw.
"Eyeballed" the spider plate on the backplate, transfer punched the holes, then drilled and tapped 'em.

Of course it wasn't perfect (and didn't need to be for function), but since I've got OCD and can't stand to see something running out on my spindle, I took a light cut on the inside/outside of the spider to get it concentric on the backplate.

Why not cut a snug counterbore on the back plate, and drill both parts and tap holes while on mill. No location issues...

Thanks for the replies. As suggested, I’ll wait until it arrives, then turn a feature on the plate to locate the spider prior to drilling.

Dunno...didn't read your post. Made mine years ago and it's how I did mine. I may make a new one that is a direct fit to my spindle instead of the aluminum one I made. Make it out of good carbon steel...

Too many forums. The OP posted this on the Practical Machinist forum also. Actually I responded to him on that forum.
