Back Plate and spider

I purchased a back plate and the Bald Eagle spider from Grizzly. It came in and as I was aligning it all up it appears no matter what I am going to hit a hole in the back plate due to the cam pin pattern of my specific lathe. So do I use only three bolts or do I drill an extra hole in the spider out away from the original hole? I'm just wanna make this right and safe so any input to help is appreciated.
I understand some use a four jaw and some sort of ring around the barrel, I may do that but for now I'm wanting to work with spiders at both ends of the headstock.

I've run into the same issue with that plate on a D1-4 backplate. I got a similar machine and made my own on both ends if you are interested in pics. I basically made my own out of a 6" diameter aluminum and bolted it to a plain backplate. Many ways of making one. Gives you excellent practice in running the lathe.
