bald eagle rest

I'll try one at a time:
I did not like the flex in the front stop so I made something more solid. I am probably going to convert the cable to a direct thread style in the future.

I am trying to remember how I did it. I took the windage completely apart except the 2 end pieces that hold the windage screw and rotated the base 180 degrees. I then swapped the front and rear caps that hold the stop along with the Center that the bag rides on so the stop is back on the front. This ends up with the 2 return springs on the right hand side and the windage on the left. The center section where the bag rides on ends up without the small recess for the springs. I left mine so the springs are pushing against the flat side (it compresses the springs more and now the windage will work on even my 60 lb bench gun). If you shoot a lighter rifle you can mark and drill a small recess for the springs to fit in. I've never had one pop out or kick to the side. Then I took the windage cable off and took a cutoff wheel on a Dremel and cut the threaded section that goes into the head off.loosens the set screw on the big aluminum knob that on the other end of the cable and drilled the threads out of the knob slid it over the stud that screws the windage back and forth tightened it and it's worked perfect ever since.
