Let's see if I can present this correctly.
My rifles are all hunting rifles with slim forends. Currently, the "wings" of the rest clamp inward on the front bag ears, but there isn't enough adjustment to put meaningful pressure (if any) on the stock. I think some sort of wedge glued onto the "wings" would help with the pressure thing. Any ideas?
