If you are liking to shoot a Lighter Bullet, I would suggest 80 gr Berger or 90 Gr Berger for the 6MM BR.
I believe both of those bullets will like to be in the lands a Little bit. I would test seating +.006, +.009, +.012, and +.015 in the lands. I typically shoot 2 or 3 shot groups for testing and work from those results.
I base the Seating in the lands on finding the just touch point of the lands and work from there.

I have shot both of these in my 6MM BR and they shoot very well when you find the load and seating depth that they like.

I don't have the money to change the barrel just to get a different twist I retired 25 years ago and inflation is eating me up if the barrel was bad that is a different thing . I just loaded some 90 gr Bergers +.012 . Wish I had the equipment to load at the range it is 20 miles from me .

Art if you can take a press to the range in order to change your Seating Depth that's half the battle of finding a good load. If you can't take take a press to the range to change your seating depth, preload and adjust the seating depth before going to the range. My 90gr bergers are +.006 into the lands. But I tested
the +.003, +.006, +.009, & +.012.

Good luck, every barrel is different but I think you will find something you will be happy with.

I am shooting a Savage 6MM BR 28" Barrel. Not real sure but I probably have like 18-1900 rounds thru the Barrel. It is still capable of shooting 1/3 Moa at 100 Yards.

90 Bergers and varget will be great in this 8 twist.

If you go back to 68s try N135

I’m shooting the 90 Berger at an easy pace of 2990 with N140 and getting groups in the mid .1s to mid .2s. I found my depth at -.004. It shot some 3 shot groups in the .0s during seating work.

Targets look like to me they were going away at the low end and coming in the high end I would try 29.5 on the low end 32.5 on the high end see if it tightens up both ways I don't see any key holeing also n135 is a great powder for that size bullet. By the way couple of the targets are pretty good
