B14R Cock on Close?

I had a B14R but sold it so I can't go back and check it.
Is this set up at the factory to cock on close?
I would think not but?

Yeah, something's haywire. I don't know what could go wrong to make it seem like cock on close. Mine certainly is cock on open.

The older ones were not very smooth , when you closed the bolt you could watch the firing pin indicator move down then back out , they were kind of clunky , I believe as the
1.Cocking piece was transitioning to
2.The sear via the angle in the coking handle body
3.And the bolt lugs we’re transitioning to there recesses

The timing is off I believe , it kind of seemed like you had to finish cocking the firing pin , others asked this years ago

Timing on the detent on the back of the bolt was hideous on the one I had. I can certainly see someone thinking this. Open and you hit a stop (the detent) then must start the opening process a second time to get past the detent before you can action the bolt. Same on reverse.

I had 2and now have one. Both had/have a little cocking on close. I dont mind since I am working the bolt faster on closing and the smooth & easy opening more than makes up for it

But alot of rem700 patern rifles do so as well, including some expensive custom actions

But it is not fully cock on opening if that is what they are claiming
