B+C Tactical Medalist A5 vs Bobby Hart Extreme Range A10 Target Stock

I'm in the process of building a "cheap" accuracy F/TR rig. Now I'm stuck on which stock would ride the bags better, recoil back straighter, is stiffer, and just all around a better stock. I realize that the Manners and McMillan stocks are better but my goal for this build was to the cheapest possible rifle that would still remain somewhat competitive at a local or maybe even regional level. Thanks!

I am working on the A5 first I sent about 3 hours opening the barrel channel for a bull barrel. Now I am working on a rear bag rail that will slide better that the stock it is too ruff to slide freely in stock form.

I had the extreme range A10 adjustable and liked it as far as build and comfort, Didn't shoot F-class with it. I would think the butt isn't bag friendly. I like wood

I have the B&C Tac 5 , and I love it, but i'm not a "bag ryder" ;)

I would think the bottom hook on the BC would be better suited to a fixed bag. I often shoot prone so I use a small Protektor rabbit ear style.

Chappy , I sent you a e-mail...I am selling my bobby hart A10 extreme for $350 shipped (conus) granite gray ..Rem 700 SA bdl has been bedded, but done right..Danny

I have 2 B&C A5's both on R700's and I had to do a pretty fair amount of sanding to elongate the bolt handle relief slot. My bolts would not fully lock downwards. So after much sanding, now I have a freespace gap completely around my bolt handle. Not sure is this issue is only isolated to the R700's.

You should have seen the grinding I had to do on a XLR chassis I had to do, to get the bolt from hitting it.

Ending up going with the Hart A10 stock. Should be here hopefully Saturday or Monday.
