Stock decision, your opinion please

I am slowly piecing together a 7mm-08 (Rem 700 S/A) as a long range hunter/field match/tactical rifle. The rifle will be used for hunting and steel target field/tactical matches.

There are two stocks I am strongly considering and am having difficulty deciding between them. My gunsmith friend really likes the monte carlo design (A) and has used the same stock on several builds with very good results. He has no experience with the other stock (B). I have no experience with either. Which would you choose and what led you to that decision?

NOTE: Also posted on another forum so you might see this twice.

I have owned the Medalist in the past for an F T/R build and really liked the stock for its versatility. JMHO

How much will you be walking around with your rifle and how much do each of those stocks weigh? Those would be some important questions to answer. I own the adjustable version of that second stock: great for F-Class.....and heavy at 5+ lbs. For hunting though, the first stock would be better IMHO.

I personally do not like a high comb for any bench shooting. So if you are planning on shooting this thing off a bench or bi-pod quite a bit, I would get something without a monte carlo type stock.
