B/C medal tactical/varmint Stock

Just ordered a B/C medalist tactical/Varmint stock for my Rem 700 XCR tact rifle in 338 Lapua with Detachable mag.

Is this stock a drop in fit good/bad......?

B&C stocks are usualy pretty good..That said I have mine all bedded..Danny

Mine fits well also but les baer beds them in their rifles. So i would think their r&d team found it to be of some benefit. They also bed 1" of the barrel according the info i found.

I found when I installed the action before bedding there were obvious pressure points. They showed up as bright spots on the action and around the lugs in the stock. That was enough to make me bed mine. I guess I should have shot it first…. I will never know if it needed it, but I feel better with it bedded.

Mine fit like a glove on my Rem Model 700 short action 223 varmint. My only compliant is that this stock is quite bulky compared to the H-S counterpart. Not a problem for target shooters but it's not optimum for field use.
