Congratulations Mr. Gonzell!

And congrats to Erik for the 4th place finish.

A little off topic. I assume you shooters that are not from the area know that Bruno Shooter's Supply is fairly close to Ben Avery. And Walt Berger lives just 4 miles from the range. I assume he was there.

Congrats to both Erik and Ben Serebreni. Ben and I have shot together many times, most recently at the 29 Palms LR Regional Thursday and Friday, this week. Ben drove straight to Phoenix after shooting two days and shot two more, taking third! Not too bad for a Grand Senior. I wish I had that much energy. ;)

I am pretty sure Ben was shooting his 6.5X47 Lapua and Erik was shooting a 7mm SA magnum variant. The conditions at Ben Avery are usually a little rough for 6mm's. However, I did witness Kevin Beem win the 2010 AZ Palma Championship with a 6BR. Kevin is from Raton, which may explain his fine wind doping.

It was great seeing Ben, Kevin and lots of other out of town friends here for the weekend.

Anyone who missed it and wants a crack at challenging shooting conditions, remember we have the Arizona Palma Championship in two weeks. Program and entry forms available here: http://desertsharpshooters.com/content/webpage/id/1

Congrats to David (F-Open) & German (F/TR). Good Shooting guys.

German and Steve, I am very envious of your guys season right now as I look at the thermometer......

I was shooting a 284 Win.

German, it was great seeing you again, and thanks for taking time to help me sort out some of my gun problems.

Let's not forget that Phil Hayes was the match rifle winner! I don't have the scores yet, but I know he shot a 599 on Sunday when conditions were very tricky. Phil is an excellent shot and always in the top pack at our matches. He had two of his sons out this weekend too, I don't know if they were shooting, but they often shoot our mid-range matches (both are pre-teens) and they are a pleasure to have around.
