Hello F-Classers,
I've run an F-Class league at the Elk River Sportsman's Club in Elk River, MN for the past two years. The program has brought out many new shooters and helped hone the skills of the experienced shooters. Last night, Aug. 10th, we had great conditions: Rain had moved through, little to no wind, and good light. Forum member and MN Champ Benjamin Winget,benjamin199)shot a clean score of 200-16X at 600 yards. I run the line overseeing the shooters, but I was drawn to my spotting scope as I realized how great Ben was shooting. What a pleasure to watch! Here are the stats on Ben's 284 Win. rifle, as seen on page 9 of the pride and joy blog:
BAT 3 lug long action
Broughton 30' 9 twist 5C barrel
Master Class rosewood lam. F-class stock
Jewel trigger
NF 12-42 BR scope
Ben was shooting Lapua brass, 175 Sierra bullets pushed by Re-17. I don't know which primers. Great shooting Ben!
