I thought it had a twist safety to prevent this from happening?
That shouldn't be happening. It's physically designed so that it CAN'T be removed unless it's closed. Something else was at play there.
Another observation.
I had the V3 with every Area 419 accessory. I always suspected the custom platter was causing my scale to drift considerably. I needed to re-zero nearly every other load.
Since moving completely to the V4 and the scales original platter I’ve had nearly zero drift. Loaded over 400 rounds and hit the zero exactly twice, and I probably could have waited it out on those.
The 419 platter (at least on mine) caused the scale to drift.
The V4 is very nice.

Maybe something in that, V2/3 original gear never had any drift worth mentioning for me with thousands of 6&7mil reloading..
Maybe. I returned the first 419 tray because of drift. Was told they had a "batch" with the issue. The replacement was a little better, but still drifted considerably.
The original pan and V4 parts exhibit almost no drift. I really like the 419 stuff, but will probably pass on V4 upgrades.

I'm just a V3 peasant, but I too had bad drift on my 419 tray. Returning it to the stock tray took care of all of it.
Only 419 product I've ever been disappointed with.

Can anyone thats getting theirs post what group their in so those of us still waiting can guesstimate when ours will ship? I think what happens is that when reservations dont get purchased, then people move up on the list but it counts in the previous batch. Im in the slot right after (sometime in early Jan) but hoping that I move down to that slot.

Received my email today that it was ready. I didn’t pay up front, I paid when it was ready to ship.

I was March 12th at 10:05pm.
The email I got said it would export by the end of this week if paid by Dec 13th and in the new year if paid after the 13th.
Based off of that, if you haven't received an email yet, I wouldn't expect it until 2022.
