We smug Americans, who believe that our inalienable rights are guaranteed, need to remember that they were EARNED. They weren't just voted for and written down on paper, they were paid for by a bunch of really hard assed patriots who were willing to fight, bleed and die for them.

AND these hard assed patriots were greatly outnumbered by about 2/3's of the population of our colonies of the time. About a third couldn't give a rip, and the other third opposed them.

It kinda sucks when you have to man up and decide to what lengths you will go to defend your most sacred rights -- your loved ones, your God, your property, your guns, ---

Didn't say they were guaranteed. I said they have their origin in the Creator...they are bestowed as part of our nature, and are every human's right. For this reason to Take or to infringe upon them is a sin. And those infringed upon, while exercising patience and forebearance (see Declaration of Independance for a well written argument) the infringed upon is under no obligation to live in servitude to tyranny and, upon reaching the full forebearance, has not only the right, but the obligation to throw it off. Having done so, our founding Fathers then wrote the Constitution to preserve what they had already done. The written instrument is a record and a law. It can be violated. But in principle, an inalienable right is not bound by or limited to the amendment or the constitution itself. The Amendment simply enumerates the right that pre-exists it.

The guarantee is paid for in the blood of those that would defend it against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

This principle is NOT limited to those who "have the 2nd Amendment" . It is universal, if they would only fight for it.

Our Constitution is not a granting of a right but more a reminder to our own Govt. we have that inalienable right granted to us by God himself, Simply by being born
the right to our own Self Defense
For example,, a person has integrity and dignity which cannot be violated simply for being born as a human
The Right to our own Self Defense is a Right, not a privilege
One that is outlined will be fought for by the same measure used against us.
One that is self present without being forced to bow down and rely on a Govt to do so for us
This Right was already fought for by a war
other countries must do the same if they want the same.

So sad that not one of these "law makers " has the brains to figure out that it wasn't the rifle that decided to kill someone. The first act of murder that I know of in recorded history is Cain killing his brother Abel. No firearm was involved. Murder will happen if every firearm in the world disappears. Dealing with the perpetrator in a permanent and public manor is the only real deterrent. It will come to American very soon, murders are being released back into society with no punishment or incarceration. Mark my words "defund the police" and Soros district attorneys that refuse to carry out justice will be the end of our rights. Florida has carried out more executions this year than they have in decades and it isn't enough. Nayib Bulele is the only one that is doing it right and cares about real honest people and is willing to do what it takes to make life better for his constituents. Trump needs to grow a set and start following this guys example.

I think if you look into it it's less than of a British thing and more an urban liberal mindset. I hope our friends in the US don't become too complacent. If things go south there the rest of us have no chance.
