Athlon or Arken optics?

I have 10 Arken scope on different caliber rifles and I have yet to have a problem solid clicks zero stop work great and clarity is great for my eyes I have 6 on 22Lr plates guns EP5 and SH4J out to 300yds they had served me well there been a ton of RimFire set of under mine and they been flawless

I think both make good scopes.

I have an Athlon neos, talos, argos and an Arken SH4 genii. The Arken is FFP and in my opinion superior to any of the Athlons mentioned. Again my opinion, but the glass in the Arken is superior to any of the Athlon scopes I have. Like the recital of the Arken better as well. Ive shot the Talos and SH-4 genii side by side and to me the image quaility in the Arken was brighter and more crisp, but I feel like im comparing apples to oranges with those two scopes.

From my little research the only scope from either company that's not made in China is the Cronos from Athlon.

All that said I would like to try an Ares because from what ive read the glass quality is better than the cheaper Athlon scopes. The Arken scopes are heavy as hell and built like tanks, but I've unintentionally beat the piss out of one of my Talos that's on one of my 223rems.

I think you would be happy with either company, but it also depends on how much money you want to spend as well as what the purpose is.

The tract toric looks like a solid scope considering the glass they utilize in their scopes
Would you agree with their $1500 approx asking price?

I don't know about the Toric. The LR scope only goes to 20X. ? Or I'm I missing something, which could very well be true. I had a little trouble with the web site.

I would hazard a guess that for 95% + of recreational shooters, scopes of either brand will meet their shooting requirements more than satisfactorily. SERIOUS competitors and/or ELR shooters? Since I’m not currently and never will be either, I would have to defer to their opinions and evaluations.

I bought the Athlon Ares Gen 3 4.5-27x50 for my Bergara B14R build.

I have shot the shit out of it & have zero qualms over the choice. Tracking & RTZ has been perfect for several thousand rounds out to 400 yards.

I & a buddy compared it to the Vortex Viper HD in 5.5-25x50, and both came to the conclusion that the Viper was a hair brighter & clearer, but not enough to be an issue for normal daytime shooting.

Get the Arken EP5 Gen II 7X35X56 if you go this route. I cannot say anything about Athlon because I don't own any. I also have the Arken SH4 Gen II in 6X24X56. The glass is clear but the eye box is too narrow.
