ATF Stockpiling gun owners information

I have listened to him for years. Just because I don't agree with something doesn't mean I don't educate myself on what is out there. I call it like I see it. He is the same extreme as a Sharpton or Jessie Jackson. I am a right wing republican and have always been one. Have never voted Dem and never will. but I am no robot, I don't let someone else tell me what I think.

BIG +1.....................

Rather than relying on the things you were taught by your teachers, and what you read on the internet, LHSmith, take a stab at researching actual historical documents, at both State and Federal levels. This research, will, of course, require you to contribute a number of hours of your time in your local State and Federal Archives facilities. By doing so, not only will you be enlightened by the things you find, but possibly realize actual history. Your home State played a part in this.
You mean the documents that have been rewritten by the liberal indoctrinating universities (which make up 90% of higher ed) to interpret them to agree with their agenda? I think for myself. I listen to both sides and use my moral compass based on what my parents and grandparents taught me and personal experiences to take a stand on what I believe is right. The dems have engaged in corruption in PA's largest cities that rivals Chicago. Our AG's trial is going on this very minute. I despise corruption....seems like many here revel in it.

Actually, LHSmith, I am referring to original historical documents which you'll find in State and Federal Archives buildings. You will not find them in Universities, nor American History books. Here is the short version as an example, from my final research paper, which, btw, I successfully defended:

"No part of the land hereby conveyed shall ever be used, occupied by or sold, demised, transferred, conveyed unto or in trust for, leased, rented, or given to negros, or any persons of negro blood or extradition, or to any person of the Semantic Race, blood or origin, which racial description shall be deemed to include Armenians, Jews, Hebrews, Persians and Syrians".

The above pertains to a swath of land (DC) owned by the Federal Government in the U.S.A. The above quote is a small part of the original documents I researched for a number of months. In deed, race played a big part!

What is your point? Enlighten us how viewing the "original" documents differs from an accurately transcribed document? I keep challenging your answers and you go off on tangents that have nothing to do with the discussion. Those on the left (the people you vote for) are the one's rewriting history.....Progessivism ......where the words of the Constitution are distorted to fit the current tide of the supposedly majorities opinion- (majority as defined by the MSM). Now tell us the meaning of the Second Amendment in this new version. You apparently agree with Hillary that justifies it's distortion "for the common good"
Tell us all how you really feel about the NRA? Your past posts show you are for it, and other posts show you are against it. And your buddy from the Chicago area, the one who "like's" you so much, needs to explain how he can keep supporting the very people that has turned Chicago into a war zone. That my friend is truly letting the nuts run the asylum. Until you vote to change the Demo "system" in Chicago don't lecture us on racism!!! Word of the day: Hypocracy .....Synonym: democrat

The difference, LHSmith, is, a "transcription" is a representation. Not an actual document. Or in your case, a transliteration of actual wording. "You can fool some of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time".

When can we please start living in the present? which is all there really is.

So.......I take it that you got nothin'.
This is why the debates will be the difference. She's got nothin' to defend herself with. She has the worst speaking voice I've ever heard, she has a record only of failures, and she has no defense on why she lies to the American public and takes millions from corporations and foreign government's yet claims to be the poor and middleclass champion. How do you spin that without the help of the MSM editing?

If you have been following the Trumpeter, and listening to him, as have I, the racism thing is alive. Thank goodness it is nowhere as bad as it once was!

Sad. The Potus reminds me of Erkel. I picture him watching the breaking news on Milwaukee burning and saying to his wife "Did I do that?"........Yes you did, Mr. president......you've used the bully pulpit to condone violence setting back race relations 40 years.
Time remaining in this nightmare: 157 days, 10 hours, 25 minutes.

So we have learned from the past on some things but if we delve deeper into the past there is so much that also just keeps repeating itself. What I perceive is that so many on the left/progressive side believe "If we could just get OUR....BENEVOLENT....DICTATOR...in power....he/she/it would make all things better. If human history is of any value at all, it teaches that that is self delusion and maybe not immediately, but in the future, when another "human" grasps that power, it will be tragic. The Constitution of this country is primarily concerned with not letting that happen.
You impute racism on Mr Trump but I see it on both sides but much more predominate on the left. Just look at the present conditions in Milwaukee, Ferguson, Dallas and can you just absolve the present administration from any responsibility for that?

Not at all. However, the present administration is on its way out. Now we move forward. The number of Democrat and Republican NRA members is probably pretty evenly split. If we can share that same commitment to the NRA, why is it so hard to band together and say enough is enough. Is it really necessary to vote-in one of the 2 party members? The very ones protecting their cushy jobs and turning their backs on the jobs they were elected to perform. Put someone in office who isn't affiliated with either self serving party. Until we do, nothing is going to change!

JRS, your quote, "The number of Democrat and Republican NRA members is probably pretty evenly split"

insane comment

Third party vote is a vote for Hillary....

And don't forget Detroit! There own kind killing more than were killed in Iraq. And the Governor is black. Its a wonder there not running gun like in Libya. And that is were the slaves went to get liberated. So same difference, give them guns and ammo. Maybe it will stop with the last man is standing.

I think we might actually agree on the idea that change is needed, but we might disagree on the "how" of it.
It's not about the "who" but about the rule of law. The question I think we need to ask ourselves is where did it all go wrong?
I simply do not believe our founding fathers ever intended that there should be a "professional" political class that stays in power for decades in some capacity and come out of elected or appointed office if they do, as some ultra wealthy god paid for by the masses. I believe public elected office was intended as an opportunity for certain individuals to "serve" for a short time and then go back home and live under the rules they created themselves. If we had 1) Term limits that no individual could serve in any elected office say more than 10 years (and frankly that's too long) and then they would be given a reasonable one time severance pay equal only to their public service pay for one year and then they would be back on their own and not allowed in public elected office thereafter. 2) End private political contributions to all candidates from all corporations and businesses but allow individual contributions of no more than $100 per person.
This nation spends countless trillions on the war machine and I recently read that some 8 trillion dollars can't be accounted for from the Defense Dept. If we can do that, we can certainly afford to publicly finance elections and get the bribes, cronyism, and corruption out of the election process.
Maybe just dreaming because that would be a long stretch from where we are today.
One other item...elected politicians would no longer be able to vote themselves raises or benefits. If someone is there to get rich, they need to go back home.
