Army cuts 60k soldiers from duties and benefits/pay

It always tickles me too when libs and guns mix. A liberal gun owner is NOT our friend. We dont need to welcome them in just because they own a gun. This is why these posts need to stay up and unlocked. They are so sheltered they know not the err of their ways

There’s no wars going on. Garrison sucks. Deployed environment, while scary, is exciting and you actually do your job.

If you’re not training or fighting, you’re normally doing BS. We go through growing pains after every major war. The army is in limbo and not sure what to do with itself after coming off such a high op tempo.

Well technically yes, but the main goal for war in modern times is to make massive amounts of money for the politicians and elites tied to the companies that supply the effort. So when you look at winning in the same light as the elites, we are doing very well.

I wasn't going to respond to this but after reading the replies I thought I would shed some real light on the topic.
As all the vets & military types know, when you sign on the dotted line in the military, whether it's active duty, guard or reserve you are agreeing to all that goes with maintaining your ability to do the job the military assigns you. That includes, doing training, maintaining job qualifications and mobility requirements and it is a constant requirement. One of the primary mobility requirements is vaccinations. For current World Wide mobility there are probably 10 or more shots you are required to maintain, ie Yellow Fever, Tetanus, Typhoid and many others. When they made Covid vaccine mandatory it was just that, mandatory, the same as any other requirement to maintain current pay & attendance status. You must maintain all of these in order to stay in. If you fail to maintain any of these, you are subject to being released. I'm sure those 60K folks had ample opportunity to maintain the requirements. Life is full of choices.

Well put. I might add that the these individuals signed a contract
and took an oath. At last glance, less then one percent has refused
the vaccine. I'm wondering of that one percent, actually can't stand
muster on other accounts, and found an easy out ?? Back in my days,
you did'nt refuse shit, or your day ended badly from all directions.

We just got rid of 2 from my unit bc of it. I’m pretty sure we’ve gotten way worse vaccines than covid. Lol

I couldn't tell you how many people I've seen that vaccine ruin their lives. You may think its not a big deal, but it is. I've seen some very bad reactions clinically.

My wife got a spleen that won't quit leaking and an inflamed liver with elevated enzymes. I know a guy who's kidneys were ruined from it. Auto-immune diseases all around.

I stood my ground with the government agency I worked for. They threatened to fire nearly the entire unit. They picked one off, the remaining 12 were granted exemptions.

It doesn't mean that the vaccine is safe. It doesn't mean it was a smart decision for the military to require it.

I'm going to call you out right now. Military signs and oath to protect the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. If our military personnel were taking that oath seriously, we wouldn't be in the mess we are in. Our military has ignored that oath for generations.

To imply these people are just looking for an out is disgusting. Dangers of the vaccines are well documented, even within the DoD. Furthermore, it is a violation of religious liberty as all three provisionally approved vaccinations were developed using fetal stem cells.

I had the shot. Had Alpha(2020), Vaccine-March'21, Delta(August 2021) and Omicron(2022-just a few weeks ago!!)

Natural immunity is stronger protection than vaccines. Good for them for standing up for freedom of choice. Sometimes fighting for freedom starts with yourself, friends, and family.

I've had to get worse (Anthrax shot) and take pyridostigmine bromide (which I started cheeking and spitting out after getting sick as he!! after taking the first few). Our senior Sergeant didn't check that hard.

I wish more of my buddies did the same with the P-tabs because they suffer from side effects and health issues to this day. All of which the government has tried to deny and refute responsibility for. Just like covid related issues. So while it might seem minor to some, wait until all the facts are in as time passes.

Seems arming our enemies is treason. Why is the military not upholding their oath? If not outraged at arming terrorists, why should they care about people refusing COVID shots?

Not to be argumentative, but I have one friend that has serious health issues following the Covid shot. The Drs. are saying that his issues are due to the Covid vaccine. Another friend who was perfectly healthy developed a blood clot in his leg, unbeknownst to him. The clot moved from his leg to his lung and killed him. No proof, but he also had two Covid shots and the booster. I had received a text from him at 11:07 AM. At 12:30 he fell over in the yard and despite EMS aid arriving promptly, he died in the hospital. I believe there are a lot of unknowns about these vaccines. I have had two shots and a booster but I'm not taking anymore.

What I've seen clinically is people will get a booster, come in short of breath, they will have an elevated D-dimer which prompts us to do a CT scan of the chest, and we find pulmonary embolisms in their lungs. PE is life-threatening. At this point, getting the vaccination can be as much, if not more, a threat to the lives of healthy people than COVID. I'm sorry to hear about your friend. You have my condolences.

You don’t have freedom of speech, freedom to own firearms, freedom to live where you want, freedom of privacy, freedom of job choice, and freedom to not engage in silly endless wars.

I don’t know why after soldiers deal with all of that, that this is the thing that upsets them and they somehow have a moral high ground to stand on. Where was that moral high ground the 20 years wasted in Afghanistan or Iraq? What about all these woke policies? Why aren’t soldiers outraged with that? I think I know why…the Covid shot was the only thing that could end their obligations with no negative consequences to their service, and they get to leave looking like hero’s standing up to big bad Uncle Sam. Where were these hero’s when we were dropping bombs on towns and cities in Iraq?

Do I think Covid is stupid? Yes. Do I think the news is stupid? Yes. Do I think forced vax policies are stupid. Yes, 1000x, yes. But I don’t think these 60k soldiers are victims. They were adults and made a choice. They should be grateful the military gave them a choice.

FYI... I have been crippled most of May and June. Multiple MRI's looking for nerve damage from brain to lower back. Thought it was a stroke. Still no definitive answer except for one thing. Rheumatoid arthritis caused by a breakdown in my immune system.

Not totally confirmed yet as I deal with a rheumatologist next week but I am now walking and moving around in a reasonable manner with nerve pain in the hands and shoulder. Why the discussion of this?

Covid shots and boosters. Seems a side-affect could be a drop in the immune system allowing this to happen and happen quickly. Not sure. Just reporting my personal issue.

We are going to disagree. You have your experience and I have mine. The soldiers that got kicked out weren’t on some morally superior high ground or religious. They were relieved they could stop serving with zero ramifications.

You are throwing 60,000 people under the bus. I don't think you know more than just a few of them, certainly not a statistically significant number of them. Blanket statements are usually a terrible idea.
