Arken thoughts

I picked up this scope on a sale or promo from arken. It's the SH model. 4-16 power I think. I'm pleasently supprised how good it is. reticle is small, fine. Allumination is nice. But holy snykies its bit. The knobs are huge. I have it mounted on a custom varmint rifle and its just big. But otherwise very good. So Far!!

I have an EP5 and the glass is really good. Compared to my Strike Eagle the reticle is better and the glass is better. More on the line of my Golden Eagle. Yes it is big but you don’t have to squint to read the knobs. To me that is a big plus. Yes it is big but so was the strike eagle.

Soi sold my strike eagle and keeping this one

I have one that I haven't messed with yet. Just mounted on the rifle. One gripe that really grinds my gears about it is this: I have the crosshairs leveled perfectly with a plumb bob at 100 yards to the rifle but it is noticeable how canted the turret on top is (roughly 5-7°) I've been debated on sending it back to see if a replacement is the same.

Contact them easy to work with and quick to respond.
Are they any good? I won’t get into any “review “ type stuff. I will say I now have four of them and have zero regrets, with the plan of at least one more.

I sent my 3-15 tract back for that reason. With the scope body level the cross hair was off pretty bad. They sent me another one

I tried the EP-5 a few months ago. Was impressed with it and wound up replacing 7 Leupold LRP and 1 Vortex Strike Eagle with it. Very content with my choice.

I have bought several of the SH4 GEN2 4-16X50 scopes and have been very happy with them. I use them to bounce around on different AR's from 223 to 308. Glass quality seems good, clicks are nice, and I appreciate the large knobs.

I have ordered one waiting on it to show up only thing I wish was offered is a difference in reticle but the one offered may be great just seems busy to me not what I normally use

If you want to see a busy reticle, look at a Horus H-59...
I have two Bushnell XRS with them and they are busy and very thick
I felt like I needed a road map for a year or so. I used it more on a regular basis and got used to it.
I will admit I am no where near smart enough to use it to its full capabilities.
