Arken rifle scopes?

Thinking about a change of scope on my XP-100 R from Burris 3-12 pistol scope to perhaps an Arken 4-16 or 6-24 rifle scope model. Having trouble with old eyes and want to change to a rifle scope.
So, looking for opinions on these Arken scopes. Thanks. MTG

Have bought and installed three EP5's for friends
They are bright-- nice big numbers on the reticle
They are decent sharp--Beginners and most folks are impressed with first look through
They seem to track and repeat very well
Overall--They seem like a lot of bang for the $$ to me at the Sale price

We have only used the EP5 No experience with the others

I don't think you will be disappointed at all for the $450 + - sale price

I have an EP5 for my long range gun. It is clear and tracks perfectly. I then bought an EP4 6-24x50 for my AR15. I really like it. Then i bought a SP4J 6-24 for my cz457 if i go long with it. I did this back before they took a price hike.

There was a magazine article that compared 8 scopes under 1000 and the EP5 was the winner. I couldn’t agree more.

They are the best bang for your buck out there. I've used my EP5 to 1000 multiple times. Can clearly make out clays at 1000 which were used as sighters in a match. Adjustments are positive and repeatable. Parallax adjust well. They are heavy and solid. I have no complaints based on the price point of them.

All I find for Arken are FFP scopes. Am I missing something. I have had good luck with Hawke Scopes and the STac Series from Sightron. I look at the little difference in these and the 3000.00 and up scopes and conclude......we have been getting hosed.

Yes, I would like to see Arken make a SFP scope, possibly in a EPL configuration. I own 6 Arken's. The ones that see all kinds of duty and haven't failed me. Pdogs, PRS, banging steel, and target. I have 2 that have not been mounted yet but will come soon.

I like Arken Scopes.
Have an EP5 on my latest rifle.
Agree they would benefit from some lighter weight more compact 2FP designs for hunting.

That said, the one thing that causes me frustration with the EP5 is some of the worst frontal light glare I've experienced. If towards the setting sun -not directly into the scope, of course, but anywhere around 30 degrees near, even with an extra sun shade extension, mine washes out near to the point of being usable, compared to some other similar price range scopes side by side on the line at the same time. Those other scopes did show some various degrees of flare, but all remained usable on the target. Some surprisingly held their own (In flare reduction) with scopes costing almost eight times as much.

Otherwise, in any other (non-frontal) lighting, it's a great value, mostly on a par with some of those more expensive scopes, with excellent resolution, click tactility, tracking, etc.

I wish Arken would offer honeycomb ARD's for their scopes.
No way to know how much it would help, but would like to try one.

If anyone has found one of these sized for the EP5 5-25x56, I hope they will post it.
3D printing would seem a good possibility for making these in the more affordable Arken fashion.

I`ve never seen a more OVER-HYPED scope in my life.
And yes, i fell for the hype, and it got sent back to arken a few days later.

Never again would i bother with this brand.

Ok, now FLAME ON!

There are a plethora of ARD's on amazon, some for 56mm objectives. Ratings are hit or miss. However, if you can get your hands on any ARD you can at least use some painters tape to get a really rough idea of if an ARD will work for your glare issues. If that goes well, perhaps there is a way to source the honeycomb material pre-cut. Then cut your self and install in the sun shade. Just some ideas...

What are the other scopes you were more happy with? Not trolling or flaming, just trying to get an idea of where your tastes in scopes land.

I went back to Athlon and Vortex. Cleaner glass. Better reticles.
And illuminated reticles that you can actually use and see during daylight.

Which level/brand line of Athlon, seems like their products run the gammut from okay-ish to $800+. I'm trying to see where in that lineup you prefer the Athlon scopes vs the Arken you bought. Also, which arken was it?
