Area 419 ZERO Press

I’ve got one. It’s a pleasure to use. Will it make rounds that are any more accurate than my RCBS RC? Probably not. Does it make me smile when I pull the handle? Absolutely. It’s not any faster because I used Forster lock rings on my RC.

It’s one of those things that’s nice for the sake of being nice, honestly. The machining is incredible. When brand new, it was so tight going up and down that I thought it was binding.

A better loader than me may be able to tell a difference, or not. I dunno. I do know that if you like nice stuff just because it’s nice, sort of like the Prazi press, and want to buy American from a company trying new things, this is what you want.

It's stout and smooth.

I'd get a couple things before it [auto-trickler, amp annealer] but if you like nice things and have a little extra cash it's pretty sweet.

Has anyone here used the Area 419 ZERO press? Looks pretty stout and well-built.
I have been running a Redding T7 for years and when I decided to try the Zero, I was expecting some improvement but not a lot. Boy was I WRONG!!!
The Zero is smooth and with the head locked down is incredibly precise and consistent. The weight of the handle reduces fatigue. Sized 200 rounds without ending in pain with less than .001” deviation.
It is expensive but SO WORTH IT!!

Mine has been fantastic. One of the best tools I have purchased

Here is mine. I love this thing and like everyone who own one, absolutely no regrets. Money well spent. Will it make ammo more accurate - not if you have good dies - not having to remove dies and quickly turning the turret is wonderful. The benefit of a turret without any of the slop. Plus the buttery smooth stroke has to be actually felt.

Nice set up. Ive switched to the SAC modular dies (waiting on the 6.5x47 to come in this week) but you can see my Whidden click dies in the background. Ive sold a bunch of old dies, those whidden dies are never going away for me. I love the click adjustment and the fact that they are short so there is never an issue sizing anything.

The blue sticker with the arrow is so I dont get confused when adjusting the click die. Lol.

Just received mine Monday. Here's the setup. I echo the comments from both TylerFromMS and Wpgk.
The best thing so far about this system, the die rings. I absolutely love the die ring design. No more allen screws, etc. Easy to adjust, lock 'em down with the included wrench, done.
I’m curious, does it come with die lock rings, does it require special shell holders, what all does a guy need to go with it that is proprietary and what is the out the door cost delivered? I wouldn’t need an inline fabrication mount. Thanks

It does not come with lock rings. You can buy theirs or use your own. The shell holder is a standard Redding, Hornady type like on other presses. Also no need for a mount. The plate that comes with it is very sturdy.

I saw Dub's during a FTF trade, and I was Hooked, never even use'd a turret before, but the quality just stood out, I load for three cartridges, no more swapping out dies, got their rings and Inline Fab mount.
