Area 419 ZERO Press

I’m curious, does it come with die lock rings, does it require special shell holders, what all does a guy need to go with it that is proprietary and what is the out the door cost delivered? I wouldn’t need an inline fabrication mount. Thanks
Sebrik is correct it does not come with lock rings but after using theirs I ditched my others. Short of dies and shell holder it is ready to go out of the box

I saw Dub's during a FTF trade, and I was Hooked, never even use'd a turret before, but the quality just stood out, I load for three cartridges, no more swapping out dies, got their rings and Inline Fab mount.
And... if you load for more calibers you can get extra turrets...

Correct, it does not come with the die rings. And, most everywhere you look, including the Area 419 site, they aren't available. I found a couple of the hybrid sets w/ wrench and picked them up. (2) 7/8 and (2) 1.25 rings+ wrench on Midway.
I use Redding shell holders and the Redding comp shell holders. Work great.
I use the comp shell holders too. Mine were out of spec but sent them to redding and now they are all close to .002 apart each. I have the Area419 rings - they are pretty slick - I do find that you need to twist the die along with the wrench when loosening or the wrench slips and starts stripping the inside of the wrench.

That's good to know, because I believe mine are out of spec as well. Inconsistent shoulder bump sizing with the Comp shell holders. Thought it was me. I need to look into what you've brought up.
the way I discovered it was that I had a Redding Instant Indicator - so I would change the shell holder and measure the same go gauge with different the shell holders - the measurements were always consistent (meaning that I would always get the same measurement on each shell holder) so I was able to see the differences. I also notices some of the regular shell holders were out of spec as well. I called Redding and they had me send them back. It came back better but then bought another set at amazon and was able to mix and match to get them pretty much in line.

One thing to be careful with on the shoulder bump is that the Area419 press gets most of its force at the bottom of the stroke but you also need to apply the most force there. I wasnt getting shoulder bump with a die that should of sized exactly to my chamber -.002 with one of the shell holders and then (as stupid as this sounds) had the die maker walk me through how and when to apply pressure (its SAC so they are best buddies with Area419 and are across the way from them and use the press themselves) and voila started sizing perfectly once my stroke became consistent. Its not a jamming at the bottom but I gently ease the handle down and then towards the bottom its more force, subtle but different.

That’s exactly what I use and and getting inconsistent bump (which should pretty much be impossible with that die). I called Alan and he walked me through what I was doing wrong. The shims btw work great too. Have you tried the die with a mandrel. It’s amazing, everything comes out almost perfectly concentric. I use a .2625 and then a .2630 21ST century right before seating bullets.

Has anyone here used the Area 419 ZERO press? Looks pretty stout and well-built.
Nice looking press but o-ring under shell holder seems to be a problem for my sizing of mixed brass, particularly for brass shot in LaRue OBR with XTRAN chamber. Prefer hard surface stop for shell holder. So surprised by that design feature that I may just toss the press in the trash.

Before you toss it, put it in a box and write my mailing address on it. I'll even foot the bill for shipping!

You do know that it works without the O-Ring, right? I think that’s actually addressed in the instructions. I can’t find mine to verify.
