I purchased a used barrel chambered in 6x47 Lapua (yeah I know, but the price was right) threaded for a 700 Remington. This included loaded ammo, some of which contained 22-250 cases fireformed to 6x47 Lapua. I've read a few posts about folks doing this (I think one said they had gotten numerous reloads).
I'd like some additional information from folks that have gone this route on their results, including case life/accuracy comparisons, velocity etc.
I'm probably going to ship the bolt off to Gre-Tan to have the firing bushed so it will be a while before I do some load work. With quality Lapua brass available, I'm wondering if it's worth messing with the 22-250 cases (unless you were perhaps using on a lost brass stage at a tactical shoot and worrying about lost cases). Thanks in advance for your feedback.
