hi to all , question has anyone had trouble with Lapua 22-250 brass lately? i got 20 cases that a customer has fireformed to 22-250 ackley. i then fired 80 gr. bullets at the range using 36 grs of 4350 H . upon inspection i found a crack in the case . it is located where the angle of the extractor groove meets the body dia. of the case . it runs around the circumference of the case and is about 5/16 of an inch long . all 20 pcs have this crack, before you draw any conclusion, all the cases are cracked in the same area in relation to the L on the case . i also have two new cases not fired and they have the same crack . i have a e-mail into Lapua but have not heard back from them as of
yet.Anybody have a similar problem ? or knows a better way of reaching Lapua. thanks in advance . mike

Interesting... I'll check mine when I get home. I didn't notice anything while priming but it's possible I missed it, if it's tiny

Are you able to post a picture? The saying goes that a picture is worth a thousand words. Also, is there a way to get chamber/reamer specs off the customer who fire formed the brass you bought?

My issue with cracks came with certain lots of 6BR brass wen fire-forming to 6 Dasher. The cracks developed in the shoulder.

well thanks for the responses i will try to post pics . as i said in the post new cases cracked also . the customer has the rest of the brass and is somewhere in the grand canyon . as for the reamer its mine. fired case is about .0004 to .0007 expansion in front of the head .but that is not where the crack is. i don't know the lot # because i don't have the box.mike
