How are you guys depriming 6.5x47 Lapua brass?

Frankfort Arsenal makes a pistol grip heavy duty one that works. May have to file/sand down the pin.

The high cost / high flexibility option is 1) bushing neck sizer die and 2) bushing full-length sizer die. Decap with the neck sizer with no bushing but with pin. No mis-hits/bent pins. If you decide you need to play with multiple bushings on your way to your final end-state neck OD you do it with the neck sizer. Full size only once. As I said, high cost but flexible.

If I don't want to change the brass I simply use my Redding bushing neck die without the bushing. The decapping pin is the correct size for the Mini Lapuas.

The only time I can see using this process is on the first go around on new brass when setting up my bump die for the first time. Otherwise it is bump die, Neck die (with the decapping pin and bushing), clean and load.

Good luck,
Tod

I have been using a Lee universal decapping die to deprime my brass, mainly 308, 6.8SPC and 223. I'm just now dipping my toe into the 6.5x47 world, and boy the flash hole on Lapua brass is tiny. The pin on my redding die is the right size, but I'm curious if anyone decaps this brass in something different outside the die? Thanks
I use Redding 2 set competition die set, with the .288 neck sizing bushing. and them little dudes just pop right out of there.

I gotta give credit where due to Wayne, @ Mighty Armory.
I've used various decapping dies, all with similar results, as anyone would expect, but the Mighty Armory actually feels better than my others, and even cured the frequent tossed primer from all the others, onto the floor from my Big Boss II !
It's built like a tank, and his speedy shipping and communication are impressive as well. 1yr warranty, but I doubt Wayne wouldn't help you if need be after that.
Simple tool, but I'm all about anything that eases the process.
