Arbor press

Need advice on a new arbor press. Should I purchase a 21st Century-Harrell-Hart-Sinclair-other? Pros and cons of these?

shop around,,,be shure and get one with spring loaded ram that re-sets for the next pull,,,I have a cupla Sinclair and like em,,,,Roger

The standard presses are all the same to me as you don't need a lot of leverage to neck size or seat bullets. The spring return ones are kinda handy as I built one in a machine shop with that feature.

I've got the K&M. However, if I had to do it all over again, here's what I'd use: http://www.6mmbr.com/harrellscombopress.html :)

I brought the K&M but only because it is setup to use their force measurement setup that I wanted.

The new 21st Century press with hyd. Pressure read out has helped my loading, giving me accurate seating pressure info. If I seat a round that doesn't fall in my previous determined range I use it as a fouled or redo it. The results have shown positive at the range and over the chronograph.

I use the K&M with the force measurement gauge. If I had it to do over I'd get the K&M with the force measurement gauge.

Forgot, I have a K&M, too, but don't use it anymore because I load too many different cartridges & it is definitely more time consuming to adjust for different cartridges.

Bruno sells an arbor press similar to the Harrell for $99. The Sinclair press appears to be nothing more than a Harrell's for more money.

Excluding the force gauge models, all of them do the same thing, including the $40 Harbor Freight version. I'm sure the Harbor Freight is a cheapo Chinese made tool, but the design looks stout and would probably last a life time.

Since you are probably buying dies too, I would buy from the same place I get dies if I could and save on shipping.

I have a K&M with the seating force thingie, it's a good solid press, but if I had to do it over again I would go with a Harrels combo press.
