AR15 Project

ONCE again some of you have all the tools, time and space in your day. I dont at the moment and maybe it will change but i just wanna to get out and just shoot, dont want to buy tools for a build that i wont ever use the tools again.

i'd rather send it of and not deal with all the time and labor to assemble it myself.

just looking for a smith that works with gas guns and is not a weekend gun plumber.

also i have a business shipping account and its way cheaper than going to the USPS or UPS store

I would have recommended that you just buy a Rock River Arms ready to go. So much simpler than what you are wanting to do.
I don’t understand how boxing up parts and having UPS come to my house and pick it up is such a task.

I think many of us don't actually know a 'gunsmith' who does assemble ar's with the parts supplied.

You might try White Oak Arms or Keystone Accuracy - both have all the skills.

You could also try looking for FFL holders in your area or a local gun store.

The OP is probably not building a rifle like the SKWERLZ did as in actually making something. More likely just assembling ready made parts.
Only really needs the vice, aluminum V blocks, a barrel nut wrench, and some small punches. Can get by without even having a torque wrench if we're being cheap.
Here's one USMC manual.

Exactly
One tool I highly recommend is the Midwest industries URR for assembling the upper.
Assembly of upper and lower isn’t really difficult if you’re working with decent parts and it’s very satisfying to shoot after.

This ^^^. The upper must be secured internally before torquing the barrel nut to prevent damage.

Still would be interesting to follow.
List of parts (maybe pics before and after) will you be sending and some targets after you get it back.
I guess you are sending a "broken gun for repair" so you get a "repaired gun in return"

This could go on for pages :)

it’s just a pile of parts

IMRT-3 upper
SP223 lower 7075 billet
15" SP3Rv3 MLOK
Daniel Defense 18” barrel
Riflespeed gas block
Gisselle trigger
Badger Ordnance BCG
JP Silent Capture Spring
TBAC SR muzzle brake

It will all get sent in now for a FDE paint job to match my TBAC Dominus SR

I won’t have him do that since the rifle will only be shot suppressed, I can tune it myself with the rifle speed gas block, by hand turning the dial on the gas block. Super simple with that system.

It will be topped off with a
FDN17x JCVr
Spuhr Mount

Gotta be careful what you ask around here. Folks can tend to be TOO helpful, x 10. (I include myself in that accusation) Everybody means well though. jd

Red locktite works for me on the bbl extension. A 1” brass drift will remove if needed down the road. Just as important, or more maybe, would be the skim cut on the upper receiver face to ensure good square contact. JMHO

I've been using Loctite 243 - a bit easier to remove the barrel.

You want a retaining compound like loctite 680.
