I'm not saying that "even a caveman could do it", but almost. Do yourself a favor and give it a go. Between all of us genius' here on the forum, and the plethora of YouTube vids available, you can do it. jd
What parts do you have (parts list).
Home built would save shipping the rifle two ways and the Gunsmith charges.
Being able to DIY you would save 2nd and 3rd trips to IDAHO
should you need any work done on it.

Op, I think that guy could be you. You need the barrel nut wrench, torque wrench and an upper vise block to hold the upper. Throw in a small hammer and some pin punches are youre all set. I think a clever person could do it without a vise but it would be a little trickier.
Obviously its not quite that easy but it's pretty easy depending on the parts you have.
I've done barrels with a vise attached to the hitch on a pickup and put together lowers and uppers on my couch with a 3/32 punch and a plastic faced hammer.
YouTube is a great resource and there are probably people here would answer some questions.
You'll also learn how the thing works.

Having built a good amount of match ARs, assembly is easy. There are some tips and tricks I recommend and use on every small frame build that go a long ways to reliability in function, accuracy and longevity. Most of which lives in the upper. All of which can be done after the build process if you want or need to, as well.
Just remember, the most important parts of an AR15 are barrel, bolt, trigger (in that order) and everything else is just there to support those things.

It was an interesting project, always wanted to cut a gasser barrel.
Basically an elongated 20” gov profile to 24” and a +1 gas system, if anyone is interested a 2-2.2mm gas port( .078-.084) seems like decent range depending on the setup.
Getting gas port size information was quite the search with a bit of extrapolation.
The OP was asking about tools to build AR's.

The OP is probably not building a rifle like the SKWERLZ did as in actually making something. More likely just assembling ready made parts.
Only really needs the vice, aluminum V blocks, a barrel nut wrench, and some small punches. Can get by without even having a torque wrench if we're being cheap.

Thanks alot guys, I know everyone is just saying do it myself but i really dont have the time nor the effort at the moment i have alot of other personal business matters to tend to with my frist wedding venue that i am opening. And i am looking for the easy button.
