Anyone using H4831sc in .243 win?

Looking at a couple of tables that list H4831sc for heavier bullets in .243 win.

Anyone using this powder with good results?

It works great in mine!So does IMR4350 and RL-22.The results are so close that it is hard to pick the best. Lightman

Not tried it in my 243.(time),but it worked up to a very accurate load in my 243AI with Sie 95 Match Kings.46.5(Max) OAL 2.793.Group .221 five shots.9:1 twist.3170FPS

I think it will be fine for the heavy bullets in .243, but there may be better for the lighter ones. A slightly faster powder like H414 or H4350 may cover a wider bullet weight range in both the .243 and .270.

Its great in my 243 AI with 105 AMax 1-8 twist. H4350 was a little faster but I got better accuracy wiht H4831SC (it was close, maybe could even tweak H4350 load but 4831 load can shoot in the .3s for me so I stopped there).

So far best group is 0.419 inches. Load is 95 gr tipped Sierra Match King with 42.5 gr H4831sc. Metered with Harrell's precision and each powder throw verified on balance beam.

The workup continues... Savage Model 10 Max 1 camo 243 Win (w both accutriger & accustock). Nikon Monarch 4-16x

I haven't tried H-4831 in my .243 yet, but after what I've done recently with Superformance, I'll give it a try: I've gotten consistently excellent accuracy using 50 grains of Superformance and a 69 grain Berger. I've gotten 5 shot groups ranging from .2 MOA to .8 MOA with this combo.

Now I need to try H-4831 with that bullet.

Shot H4831SC in my 243 and 270 just this afternoon- very pleased! Sub MOA in both guns! In 270, 56.7 and 56.9 with 130gr accubond. In 243, 45 gr with 90 gr accubond. Shot half grain increments in 243- a tighter group may still be out there!

I usw H4831SC in a version of the 243 called the 243 Mendoza which is similar to the 6SLR. Have used this powder with DTAC 115gr bullet with great accuracy to 1000yd.

I use it in 6mm SLR (nearly identical to .243) with 115 DTAC bullets out to 1,000 yards with great results. Tried H1000 but couldn't get enough into the case to make it work. H4350 is another option.
