Anyone using 7mm Rem Mag?

It can be a winner " if set up correctly" at most of the places you would need one.
But most folks decided that the smaller, less recoiling caliber's could do as well, and in a few cases better with less wear and tear on your shoulder and mind while they were doing it...

Yes, it can prove very accurate with the right reamer and barrel.

I had a Kreiger barreled Savage that shot the best 1000m group I have ever shot - 2 5/8" for three rds using 162gr Amax/Re25/Fed 215M. I think with the 180gr Berger would be a superb bullet for this case volume

The biggest problem with this and other belted magnums, is the reamer. Many have too generous sizing just infront of the belt allowing this area to bulge causing problems with chambering.

My 7RM was cut with a reamer where there was a sharp corner for the belt. Good thing the brand of brass I used fit that sizing. Case life was every bit as good as a non belted case.

With the WSM family being easy to build, working with a belted case seems more work then necessary. Not any less accurate.

If someone comes out with bullets in the 190 to 200gr range, the 7RM will become very popular.
