re17 in 7mm rem mag?

anyone using re17 in a 7mm rem mag with the 168 berger?

I suppose you could use RL-17, but 7RM really works best with slower powders.

I've worked up some impressive loads for my 7mm SAUM AI with RL-17, and the 162 Amax...
It seems to be a powder thats in between H-4350 and H-4831, so it should be a good one to check out in your 7mm RM....

tt,,,,we hav used it in our 7 rem mags with 140-160 class bullets with excellent results,,,lots of vel,,,and good accuracy at ~1-2gr below absolute max in our rifles,,,,it also seems to like some jump to improve the dwell time,,,Roger

My Berger manual doesn't list re17 , can you suggest a starting point? Low is ok, I will work up and watch for pressure, thanks.

tt...here are our "MAX" loads !!!

140 gr--65.5 gr
150 gr--64.5
160 gr--64
168 gr--63.5

If you have H-4831 SC data ,,,use ~1/2 gr less of Rx-17

These are NOT starting loads....these are MAX !!!!......Roger

Thanks, I will back off these to start for sure. It is a new gun and breaking it in tomorrow.
