Anyone used the Leupold VX-6 7-42?

I have 20 MOA before bottoming out with my 100 yard zero. My 100 yard zero is exactly 20 MOA from the bottom. With that and the fact that I use it for Fclass(as designed), I too have not reason for a zero stop. My zero stop is the turret bottomed out, I come up 20 MOA I am at my 100 yard zero, 31 MOA I am at 600 yard zero, etc..

I have 20 MOA base on my action.

What do you guys think of the reticle being empty in the center, does it make shooting in mirage any easier?
and zero stop should be standard. I sold off my 8-25 Leupolds because of no zero stop. I can't be the only person that buys NF because zero stop is available.

If you are shooting F-TR you may be.

Zero stops are for tactical guys who want to be able to go back to zero w/o looking, and with something like my Steiner with 10Mils per rev I still can't see a use for it. Crank 10mil from a 100 yard zero and you can get out to about 1200 with almost any match caliber, take it back to "0" and BAM you are on zero.

I, like a lot of F class shooters shoot 90% of my shooting at 1000 yards. What's the point of the stop there? I dial down to 300 for initial load testing or mid range regionals, 600 for the average mid range match, and 800/900/1000 when I shoot a Palma match. If I had a zero stop on any of my NF scopes it would just get in the way. My 12-42 NXS mounted on my main long range gun can barely get a 300 yard zero slam on the bottom of the travel.

Zero stop on a target scope or a scope with 10mil knobs is pretty pointless. When NF came out with it on scopes from 5 yrs ago that had 10MOA per rev then yea, you could use it after you ran a stage shooting targets out to 750 or 800 yards and over 2 turns on the knob. Today, it's an extra $250 for something everyone is convinced they need, and really don't.

XTR I'm with you don't think I would ever use it in the shooting I do, Just with knowing your scope I can go from 1000 yards down to 100 without even thinking to hard! OH Willbas my scope has AA at the end of the serial # So I hope I'm Good.
