Anyone try 125gr Nosler BTs in the 30BR?

Waiting on my custom bullets to arrive, and been loading some rounds to test the rifle, and came across a box of 125 gr Nosler Ballistic tips.

Anyone try them in the 30BR?

What "non-custom" common factory bullet have you tried, and what results have you gotten in a 30BR?

Were custom bullets noticeably better, or more consistent for you?

So far, I've only tried 110gr Hornady v-max's, over H4198, cci-br4 primer and got mostly 1-1/2" groups @200. I get a lot of 2 shots in the same hole, one 1-1/2" away stuff. Usually its lateral, not too much vertical. Don't know if its me, the scope, the rifle or the bullets yet.

I don't have a 30BR,yet) but Speer 125 TNTs work well in my 308. They have a very similar shape to the custom bullets which are popular in the 30BR. i.e. flat base, short bearing surface and long ogive radius. Maybe worth a try?

Berger 125 and 135 Flat Base seem to work well in my .308
using N140,46.0 gr.)w/the 125s getting 2950 FPS and under 1.0 groups at 100 in 24 degree weather.
