Anyone suppress their benchrest 6ppc/etc?

I recently bought a vintage Weber 6ppc benchrest rifle. This rifle will not be used in any competitions, just shooting small groups for fun. In the last few years I've been using suppressors on most of my rifles. I will most likely thread the barrel and use a suppressor, just because I like shooting suppressed. Has anyone done this to their BR rifle and how did it affect accuracy?

Shoot it in some differing conditions before you cut and thread and choose a suppressor. It will be interesting to come back here with some target data.
Good luck.

Heck, why not? One of these days I'm going to have my ppc threaded. I doubt hanging a can on the end of a barrel is going to help accuracy at the ppc levels. But I don't shoot any matches like you said you don't. Just groups for fun and maybe a pdog one of these days. Go for it, if your accuracy turns to crap, just screw on your thread protector and go again.

No suppressors in NYS, but I have cut barrels back and put on a Harrell's brake several times and the accuracy improved, never got worse. Not sure if it was because of the brake or cutting several inches off the barrel.

Shaking my head.
And you probably did when the 6PPC came along too. I can hear it now; "Nothing will ever top the 222 for accuracy in SBR!". ;)
Back when I shot the short range game I remember the times when one click on the Harrell's powder measure could take you from hero to zero (or reverse). I even saw an instance of one shooter that was having a bad day go to the hero status just by loading with his buddy's powder and measure.
So, my feeling is it will likely take some serious tuning to find the best accuracy with suppressor versus no suppressor and that can change on any given day at any given time.
As for tuning with a suppressor, I have a Bartlien rimfire barrel that shoots almost everything better with the suppressor on v. off.

I have a Hall 6PPC with three barrels, one was threaded when I bought the package and I have shot it with a suppressor. Two of the barrels have not been shot. It's been so long, I doubt I could find the records, I am thinking of selling the package.
