Anyone shoot a 6x55 Swede (6mm NOT 6.5)

I shoot both a .243 and a 6.5x55 Swede in Tikka for both. Would love to have the performance of a .243AI without having to fire form brass. Was wondering if the 6x55 would work for this. Would like to accurately push 105 gr bullets at app. 3200 fps. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanking you in advance...........

What you are describing is extremely close to the 6mm/244 Remington.

Yes, the 6mm/244 Rem. would work but you may not reach your velocity goals unless using 90 or 95 grain bullets. Nothing wrong with that

Shoot R#26 in both with the heavies, you will be very, very happy!

a local gunsmith (Chad Turner) has a version that he shoots very well,,,its a 6mm TNT,,,it is a 6.5x55 necked down to 6mm and AI'ed,,,,Roger
