Anyone make a good higher power pistol scope?

Anyone make a good higher power pistol scope? I post this first in the optics area but it seems no one reads that much.

Looking for suggestions I bought on here this week a .22-250 single shot pistol. It has a weaver rifle scope on it thats ok but you have to lean in real close obviously.
I would like to know if there are any high power pistol scopes of good quality for the normal eye relief that would make shooting this more fun? Thanks PG

The highest power in a pistol scope will be the 3x12 Burris, and it's a dandy on my Contenders, altho I do prefer a higher powered rifle scope on most of my XP-100's...

I've often thought putting a rifle scope on my XP100 as others have, but have been reluctant due to the eye relief issue. How do you end up shooting the thing with such short eye relief?

You really don't need your eye real close to the scope to be able to see what your shooting at.
I usually pull in tight to the scope and then back off about half way, and then touch the trigger.
My 16" 25/284 XP-100 rear grip has never come close to poking my eye out while doing it, and it wears a 5.5x22x50 Nightforce......... None of my 22 or 6br XP's recoil around enough to be a problem, but they all have brakes installed...

Can you send pics of your brakes? Maybe a reference to the manufacturer?

The only brakes I use come from the Harrell brothers, and at $30.00 shipped they are hard to beat.

I will be using a AWC THOR Ti Raider suppressor for recoil and sound but still think I would like the extra eye relief. Thanks for the post guys. PG

I currently have a 12x fixed power Leupold on my XP-100R in 22-250. I have a 4.5-14 Leupold LR on my 243AI XP. My first XP came with a 3-9 Burris pistol scope and it took me all of 20 seconds to decide that the rifle scope was the way to go! Tom

I have 2 Burris pistol scopes--both on .223s one xp and one contender--7x LER and 10X IER both are excellent scopes!!! They take a little practice to get used to like most things... Neil

I had a 2-7 Leupold on my .243 Savage Hand Cannon. I can say for certain that you better have a good handle on that thing when you pull the pin. Opened up a nice half moon over my eye once. Lesson learned. Fun to shoot off a rest, but a pain in the rear to carry hunting. Shot an 11 pointer from the top of my woodpile, laying on my belly, @ 300 yards confirmed by rangefinder. Son of a buddy of mine called it the incredible shot. Times like those are what memories are made of!!
