Anyone like Berger 105 VLD Target bullets in a 6BR?

Straight 6 BR.

Do you like Berger 105 VLD Target bullets, PN 24429 (100), 24729 (500)?

What is your recipe? Powder and primer please.

What twist and distance(s)?

I have an 8 twist barrel and will be shooting 300 & 600 yards.

Is there a 6mm 105 Berger you like better?

I tried them and had real good luck. Federal 205 primer and H4895 powder. My group size was the same as using the 105 hybrids. I stuck with the hybrids due to at the time they were cheeper and i stocked up on them. 1:8 twist and i only shoot it at 100 yards for a local friend competition we do twice a year.

I'm using the 24428 105 berger bullets
Lapua brass, CCI 450, Varget, 28.8 gr, 8 twist 6 BR
I started using these bullets as the hybrid was scarce

The 105 hybrids on left. Target on right. The one flyer in the target picture was when i pulled the trigger on accident from a muzzle brake blast from the guy next to me. Both are 5 shot groups

Set 17 prone sling Mid Range National Records with them in a straight 6BR. So ya... They seem to do ok. LOL
.020 in the lands, .001 neck tension. 29.5gr Varget ( do your own load work up please) CCI 450
Norma Brass.

The attached is a Seating depth ladder with the 105 vld ,8 tw,104 fb 31.6 gr N-140 this is a two shot ladder I believe if your first and second shot aren't touching you haven't found a node to build on this barrel really liked the 33 otl and 36 off ladder shot at 100 yds hope this helps

Years back I did some digging, and found out that the trimmed and pointed 105 VLD Hunting has a higher BC than the VLD Target. Just throwing it out there for anyone who's curious :)
I wasn't able to find a consistent source for the hunting version, so I was never able to test the differences at long range.

I shoot the 140 vld hunting due to higher bc than non hunting. I have not looked in a long time but the hunting bullets did have higher bc
