Anyone know the retail price of the new 94/22 Winchester is coming out with?

Saw a quicke form Shotshow, good looking rifle, factory rep said it was affordable, wondering what the real world price is going to be anyone else know anything about it.

They say "precision machined aluminum" receiver and walnut stock and steel barrel. Sounds good to me. Henrys are slick and well-made, but they have a cast zamak alloy receiver. Almost certainly made in Turkey like their other rimfire rifles.

At that price, probably about like a BIC lighter, when it’s empty throw it away.

I sense a lot of aluminum alloy and plastic.
Receiver is mfg from a solid billet of aluminum. So... pretty much the same beginnings as upper end AR receivers. I have no problems with a 22LR being mfg this way.

Ewwwwwwww

Folks, like it or hate it as you will (personally not a fan) but Winchester isn’t claiming this gun is a new 9422.

I had one in the late 70's, and like an idiot I traded it. It is one of the rifles I most regret getting rid of.

Of course, it was not a target rifle but very reliable and extremely fun to shoot, accurate enough for small game hunting up to 50 yards or so. The quality of mine was top notch.

It makes me sad to hear they’re going to aluminum receivers. My Father gave me this for Christmas in 1980. One of my most prized rifles. It probably has well over 100,000 rounds though it and it still in great working condition. I doubt the new ones will do that.

Have a Marlin 39a sitting in "jail" right now. One of the last ones built, I suspect.. Probably 99% condition.

As mentioned in an earlier post here, I've got two of 'em in 22LR and 22WMR. I outfitted the WMR with the Lyman tang aperture sight, and it's become quite the 'extended range' rimfire for jackwabbits and ground squirrels. I don't care for scopes on these rifles, feeling that I've got others scoped when needed. Both mine were purchased new when things were a bit more normal in the economy.

I absolutely love these little lever guns, and believe they qualify for the title "Fun Gun".

One of my biggest regrets as far as rifles go is not buying a new 9422 when they were still in production. Was spending all my money at that time on custom 1911s & shooting IPSC.... Dad & I were in a gun shop at a larger town several years ago, just tire-kicking mostly. He found a 9422M in the dealer's used rack, and was so taken with it that he bought it & a scope for it. He'd shot Winchester M61 pump rifles since before I was born, was on his 2nd on at the time. I've hung onto his worn old 61 & the 9422M, and still wish I'd have had the sense to buy my own 9422 in 22LR...
