15-16lbs. I checked based on avg weights in the 223 cartridge guide. Mil brass will be the heavier.

Est. 100gr per case (taken from 223 REM, cartridge guide averages, x 1000 and divided by 7000 produces pounds. Then add in weight for primers dirt etc... 14.28lbs + detritus and primers.

Based upon my case weighing of lc and Lapua 91-96 gr per case works out to about 13-13.75 lbs per 1000.

The weight of 1000 virgin Lake City cases I recently ordered is 13.733 lb, including the plastic bag and medium flat-rate USPS shipping box. Don't let 'em stiff you even one case .
