Anyone know how much 1,000 rds of 223 brass weighs

Caption says it all. Doesn't need to be exact, looking to buy some range brass & don't want to get hosed.
 
Weigh ten cases on a precision scale and multiply by one hundred.

Convert grains or grams to pounds and ounces. Google is your friend.
 
7,000 grains per pound.

Est. 100gr per case (taken from 223 REM, cartridge guide averages, x 1000 and divided by 7000 produces pounds. Then add in weight for primers dirt etc... 14.28lbs + detritus and primers.
 
Based upon my case weighing of lc and Lapua 91-96 gr per case works out to about 13-13.75 lbs per 1000.
 
The weight of 1000 virgin Lake City cases I recently ordered is 13.733 lb, including the plastic bag and medium flat-rate USPS shipping box. Don't let 'em stiff you even one case ;).
