Anyone have a Gracey trimmer?

Hey folks, I picked up a deal on a package of three Gracey trimmers from an estate. The guy selling them didn't know much about them but from what I can see in the pics they seem complete and he says they all power on. The price was really good so they are paid for and in the mail.
My main question is about the shell holders. What thread does Gracey use for the holders? Can Giraud holders be used in place of the Graceys? I tried contacting Gracey today but the email bounced back and the website is from 20 years ago. Can't seem to find a more up to date site although I see adds for their new direct drive trimmer so I'm guessing they're still in business.

Giraud shellholders CANNOT be utilized on the Gracey. You can, use the Giraud Cutting Insert on the Gracey.

I've used my buddies Gracey with my 50 BMG Brass, before I bought my Giraud last year. I got him a Giraud too. He's helped me more than I can ever repay him.

They may be in business, but not in any useful way - e-mail and voicemail both bounce due to overfilling. One time I got through to Doyle's widow and placed an order, but I never received it nor was my card charged. I wanted to get a caseholder for .338 Lapua, but I'll have to wait until a used one turns up for sale. You may want to place a Wanted ad in the Tools... forum for any shellholders you need.

Greetings,
Doyle Gracey passed away about 10 years ago. His wife was very elderly also. I would check with Creedmoor Sports as they carried the Gracey trimmer. Dennis DeMille might have an answer. RIP Gunner Doyle Gracey, Semper Fi.

A couple of weeks ago I Called Gracey and talked with his Grandson, Dakota
and he answered ALL my questions
Left a message with his Grandmother and Dakota returned my Call.

Have your Gunsmith make you one from Drop off stubs laying in his shop. As Walt Says above its just a 3/4- 16 Thread. Run your reamer in there and your done.

Can you provide the number with which you reached Dakota if it is different from the one posted?

Trimmers and shell holders are available on the Creedmoor web site. I just placed an order which is supposed to be drop shipped from Match Prep. Dennis must have a non-public channel to contact Dakota to make this work. We'll see if and when I get my shell holder. f it doesn't work, complaints to Creedmoor are more likely to get resolved than when addressed to Match Prep/Dakota.

I have a gracy trimmer and several shell holders I do not use any more. Let me know what caliber you need and maybe I can help you out. Tom.

I used the one on the WEB Page, talked w/ Mrs Gracey, 661-822-5383.
Not at Liberty to give out Dakota's #.
Dakota return my Call, the # I gave Mrs. Gracey

Copy That.
Perhaps provide that # to OP by PM so he can leave a message or text Dakota?

I dont have first hand experience with the Gracey, but a friend had a gracey, sold it and bought the Hornady case prep center. Said he likes it better. I've seen power adapters for manual trimmers. I guess it all depends on volume of loading.

The advantage of the Gracey and Giraud is that they trim and chamfer (inside and out) in one step, and it only takes a couple of seconds per case. They're fast enough that it's a waste of time to gauge them first - trimming is at least as fast as gauging with either. The build quality of the Giraud is better and caliber changes are faster, so most choose the Giraud; it only costs ~20% more. I have an old Gracey and upgrading to the Giraud doesn't get me enough to be worth it to me. YMMV

It took 3 weeks with no feedback, but I did receive the case holder today. It looks like working through Creedmoor is the way to go.
