Anyone ever try one of them 6.5 Creedmoor's ?

I don't shoot one and doubt I will ever be cool enough to own one but we had a Fun shoot a year or 2 ago where every body took one shot at a Springbuck target at a 1100y and the person closest to the "kill zone/10 wins the pot and a load of sponsored prices. Was bucketing down with rain and I was soaked from RO duty, budy of mine just finished his shot with his Creed and I said "Ben let me quickly take my shot with your rife while your already out in the rain"...Boom one shot with his 6.5C straight through the kill zone/10 and I won the pot and the prices with a 6.5Needmoor :D:D

I did my part the other day. Almost 60 years old, can't see out of one eye, blind in the other. 8" horizontal spread at 50 yards with my .22RF, open sights, off of elbows. Trigger feels like I'm dragging my foot across a gravel road.

Nice cartridge. Easy load development. Works good in a short action, even with long VLD type bullets. Very nice recoil/performance ratio. Plentiful good quality factory ammo. What’s not to like?

This is pretty common from my Beanland 6.5 Creedmoor. .291”. Five shots.

Its a Goldilocks round/caliber.
Not the only one, for sure. Just nice to have one to shoot.

I like mine. The big hole is four shots. The other is me flinching. :( I'm far from a great shooter.

Hornady ELD-M 140gr on top of 40 gr of H4350

Shot a couple, but never bought one.. dont need another cartridge in the family. Plus, I dont have any 5.11 pants to wear while shooting it.

Oh, I'm quite certain we all could probably say that, but if, "need", was a prerequisite before a purchase, all of us would only have one or two guns in our safe too. o_O

This is with H4350 , Lapua brass, and 139gr scenar. I shot a few .1's with RL26 while testing the new lot of Peterson LRP brass, but I never got a repeatable load that rose to my accuracy requirements. I know it's there, but damned if I could sort it out.

The goal was to find a good load, and win a match with this rifle. I find it a fair bit harder to shoot this rifle accurately than my .223 in the same gun. It actually kicks, plus the barrel heats up twice as fast. Turns out, I won ( with a bit of luck) the very first fun match I shot with it this week at my local club match.
