Anybody Using A Randolph Rest? Pros? Cons?

Good Morning,
Was wondering if anyone out here was using or has used the Randolph Rest in any of the shooting discipline's?
and if I could get some pro's and con's about it?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sam

I use one for 600yd BR. Best rest available in my opinion right behind the Sinclair Competition. With a 17# rifle, the back of the rest can get a little light and that is where many people will add a lead weight that attaches to the back leg of the rest. I cannot remember what the guys name is that makes the weights. A lot of people worry about the top spinning and think that it causes issues, it does not cause me any issues. My little cousin needed a welding shop project and he cut me out a plate that I added to the bottom of mine, it was not needed but it looks cool and gives me a handle. The controls are close enough that you can run them with one hand like the Sinclair.

Never had one or looked at one. I can tell you being a Southpaw that if some of the controls are not reversible it can make things a little tougher. Not sure about this one though, just telling what I went through as a southpaw on some rests. Matt

The originals can be reversed for south paws. The latest version is ambi with knobs on both sides.

I wasn't sure because I never used one. I just wanted to warn him because of his name it sounded like he was a southpaw. Some stuff just wasn't designed for southpaws. I went through that, that's why I made my own. Matt
