Good choice. I think you'll be happy regardless of the price. They're just a very good hunting rifle bbl and if you're lucky, even better than that. Lesser expensive barrels and they are machine lapped, likely have a bit higher rate of bbls that aren't their best work, but I'll refrain from calling those bbls bad or defective..just not as good as others. Probably because hand lapped bbls get that last step that can also be a quality control step. Still, I don't think you can go wrong with them for the price and the fact that a hunting rifle presents other issues to all out accuracy that are typically a lot more important than the actual difference between them and a top shelf bbl brand. Good value and on a hunting or varmint rifle, the end result is usually going to be indiscernible.Wow looks like I will be buying a Wilson to try on this rifle. It is just a old Mauser action that I would like to redo because it was my grandads gun. Would use it for deer and coyote hunting. Thanks for the info.
Cooper uses Wilson bbls. Ive a couple of those that are 1/4” guns at 100 yds.
I am exceedingly happy with my Urbanrifleman Wilson barrels.I tell people that I hesiate to say my Wilson barrels will hang with pretty much anything... At least out loud.
I'll just keeping making barrels and let them do the talking.
Id buy a lot more wilsons if i had a better choice on contours and twists readily available. I like em for most applications
I looked on your website. Do you sell single blanks to people or just prefits? If you want to be supplied with blanks let me know. But you have to buy a few at a time.

Thank you totally understand that. I will be in the market for a savage prefit soon to. Do u have a 270 reamerI sell blanks if I have them. It doesn't make any kind of financial sense for me to try to sell blanks as a business. There's no real markup in them, they're very heavy, they take up a lot of space, they cost a lot of money to have a bunch of inventory. There are people out there with much deeper pockets than I have that can stock $100,000 in barrel blanks.
