I wish all the guys welding in boiler house where I work took that much pride in their work.
Makes me feel good when the boilermaker working on the lines beside me all day, has more wore out union stickers on his hard hat than a stock car.:)

I received a few PM's asking whether I stick weld also. Yes, I do.View attachment 979563
I have tried to keep myself from doing this. But after looking at other posts by GSXR I can't help myself.
I'm calling BS on this one. That pic is not of a 7018 stick weld. It is a very nice tig weld carbon steel cap welded by someone who knows how to walk the tig torch cup on the weld.

The welding images GSXR posted in this thread were simply cut and pasted from other internet sites such as Pinterest
He has posted pics of other people's work and claimed it for himself. The bad thing is he doesn't know the method of welding he claims to be doing

Tim -
But if you post it or read it on the internet, it has to be true......
Would like to read the company signature plate on top that radiator.

The name plate has the customers vehicle year and model on it. You haven't a clue as to what you are looking at dmoran. That's a custom front mount intercooler for a WRX. I have a Twitter account loaded with photos of my custom work.

I have been welding a long time. All types of boiler tubes, p91etc. Im certified in a few and have an R stamp. Ive seen welders from all over the world that impress me with what they do. Ive seen some of the best stick welds on steam pipe fillers and ive never seen a stick weld turn out like that tig weld above. Usually when you brush the slag off you can see it on the blue heat colors and it polishes the weld up nicely. That is a very good tig weld tho.

The picture below is from the following page http://www.fabricatingandmetalworking.com/2015/05/gas-metal-arc-welding-advanced-courseware/ I used the posted of the tank in google to search for images similar and I think we would all admit the image I posted from the link above is "similar" to the tank posted earlier claiming stick welding. Can't say I know much about welding but I can spell Google, it is very very hard to hide on the internet. Click the link above if you want to check for yourself.

Maybe the original poster of this image can clarify his posting.

He posted some pics of beautifully polished knives in another post. He claims to have made and polished. I'm sure the knives are someone else's work as well

One more time go to this link http://www.omeshwarsteeltube.com/welded-pipes.html to find the following image:test2.jpg

Once again showing it is hard to hide on the Internet. Image searching tutorial, I will post this because it is a good idea to search for pictures posted by potential scammers. Copy the image to your computer disk drive

Go to https://images.google.com/ and click the icon of the camera in the input window and choose to upload an image and then choose the one you want to find that you saved on your computer and search away.

I realize not a great tutorial but did not want to spend a lot of time on it as it will disappear with this thread shortly. Maybe a full tutorial on searching for images as a sticky would help those checking out deals on auction sites from unknown sellers. There are many tools on the internet that you can use to verify someone and as the number of scammers increase we will need to employ them or choose not to buy or sell on the internet.

Have a good evening,
wade
